Fran Bow is an adventure game about Fran, a young girl with a mental disorder.
Fran, her only friend and her black cat Mr Midnight, rushes to the woods after witnessing the horrendous and mysterious death of her parents.
Fran, who is in shock over her parents’ death, is found in the forest. She is then admitted to Oswald Asylum. This is a mental institution for children that is oppressive and where Mr Midnight is not.
Fran dreams about her cat in a dream and decides to flee the mental institution to search for him. She will return to Aunt Grace, her only living relative.
