You are Hope — mobile version of an extremely original online project with an adventure-survival-philosophical-social aspect. Or simply, this game is about life. One minute of real time is equal to a year of life of the created character. So the average duration of the round will be around one hour. A distinctive feature is that players will be born in most cases in the role of the child of other gamers. They will be a team player, to grow, to have my own family and to create the opportunity for the emergence of the next generation project participants.

AppStore’s #1 Role-playing Game in 24 Countries so far
“You are Hope” was based on a PC game by Jason Rohrer.
He is not involved in the creation of this app.
His game and our online world are distinct. We have created content and added extra content.
Name your children, who are also players, is an important part of this game. When a mother gives Hope to her baby, she would say “You are Hope”.
You aim to rebuild civilization together with other players across many generations.
If you are not a suitable mother, you can be born as a baby to another player or as a young girl. Each minute of real-time represents one year. Your maximum age is 60. Although you have a limited life expectancy, the items you create during your lifetime will be left behind for your grandchildren and children. Make it easier for the people who follow you so that your family can prosper for many generations.
Sometimes, you may spawn in solitude in the wilderness. To keep warm, you will need to make a fire and trap rabbits in order to obtain meat and furs. In the beginning, a sharp stone could be your best friend. You should find a place to settle down and grow food. Other players could soon be your children and you will need to take care of them until they become mature enough to help.
Sometimes, you’ll be born in sprawling cities with farmers, blacksmiths and shepherds. You will find clothes and equipment prepared by distant relatives or grandparents. Perhaps you’ll gather friends and start your own settlement, or you might inherit a job on a farm from your uncle. Or maybe you’ll kill bears and wolves. There are many options, but you must remember that unless you leave the planet better than you found it before you left it, there is no way to achieve anything.
Every day you live, you will come in contact with new people. Some are more skilled than you and some are less. Some will be able to teach you, while others will learn from your mistakes. Some might even be disruptive to your civilization and need to be addressed accordingly. Your role is to help shape the world, and to do so before the next generation takes over.
You can view your family tree to see the progress of your descendants after your game is over. It’s a great feeling to be proud of each of your younger relatives that survive into adulthood, and each generation that follows you. Knowing that you made it possible.
The Family Ties IAP was added to the 1.7.0 release. It adds family chronicles and observer mode. You don’t need it to play the game.
