RARLAB’s RAR can be used as an archiver, backup tool and extractor. It is also a simple file manager.
RAR can create ZIP and RAR files and unpack ZIP, RAR, ZIP and TAR. This includes repair command for ZIP and RAR files that have been damaged, benchmark function compatible to RARLAB’s WinRAR benchmark and recovery record. It also contains encryption, solid archives, and the ability to use multiple CPU cores in order to compress data.
The unzip function can also be used to extract ZIP and ZIPX files with BZIP2, LZMA and PPMd. It also supports password-protected ZIP. The unrar command can be used for all RAR archives versions, including the most recent RAR5, password-protected and multipart files.
File management functions include copying and moving files and folders around, renaming them, creating new folders and installing APK packages.
